I didn't have that song stuck in my head...until now. Thanks McClef.

    including cheerful facts...

I can't tell you about the tartan, but I have bought from this guy on eBay. Oddly enough, I bought a kilt one time and a guitar one time- not remembering and recognizing that it was the same seller. I never figured out the fabric content on my kilt (Dress Stewart) , but I like it and am satisfied. It came with a lady's sash, which I think he called a Bride's plaid...The guitar was fine, too.

I seem to remember that he used to be in the bagpipe business before. Anyway, he is a decent guy, even if he doesn't describe his wares very clearly... His first name is Gerry, I think, and he lives way upstate in New York, if that identifies him to anybody in the piping crowd...

When I see this ad on Ebay is description really accurate
The tartan isn't Black Watch so one wonders how immaculate
The military description, might be stretching credibility
To see it on a soldier, takes a certain "head agility"!

Maybe the strangest example of a misplaced "military" attribution by an Ebay seller was this.

This outfit was listed as a "complete Liverpool Scottish uniform" !!!

I especially like the belted plaid wrapped round the body as if it were a long plaid.

Anyhow it's a nice vintage regimental sporran...
