    The Art of Kiltmaking, question.

I must be missing something here. Celtic Dragon Press has The Art of Kiltmaking listed at $34.95, but you go over to Amazon and they have it listed at $105.50 used, and $149.95 for a new copy. Any ideas why?

    Always, -Steve

Let's just say those Amazon seller(s) have had those copies listed for a long, long time. . . and they are independent sellers, not Amazon proper.

The Art of Kiltmaking is authored by Barb Tewksbury and Elie Strumeyer. Barb did all the actual writing and self published the book by starting Celtic Dragon Press.

When purchasing from Celtic Dragon Press you are dealing with Barb directly.

That, and the nature of bookselling...very often, one will see small run books onli.e at an exorbitant markup...just supply and demand for that market...
Best. Thing is to deal woth author or publisher directly if possible..

Best thing about buying the book from Celtic Dragon Press is that you get a email from Barb T with the the offer of assistance you may require in your project.

I do not have the intention of making a kilt at this time but the information in the book certainly educates you on what to look for when having a kilt made.

    Barb or Matt

Matt Newsome also carries the book in stock at the Scottish Tartans Museum gift shop...either contact him or Barb...but whatever you do, don't pay those jerks $100+ for the copy that they are selling on ebay. Barb wouldn't see a dime of that markup!
