    Smile West Virginian Kilt Noob

Now to the board and introducing myself. My name is Jonathan, soon to be 30 years of age in from the state of West Virginia, USA. Im currently employed as a body piercer at a local tatoo shop, a US ARMY veteran,a member of the 501st stormtrooper legion, and will soon have my tenth wedding annniversary with my wife whom I have a beautiful little girl with. My boss and best friend at the tattoo shop lent me one of his kilts to wear one summer becacsue it was incredibly hot and the AC at the shop was broken. I can claim no Scottish, Irish, or any other "kilted heritage", but I can claim that I really enjoyed wearing it, and that got me hooked. I just finished placing my order for my very frist kilt from Freedom Kilts, and I must say, Steve is a wonderful guy, who took the extra time to make sure everything was to what I was wanting, going as far as to return my phone call and even skype with me while i took the measurements, then was good enough to even point me here.
Looking forward to meeting more members here on the boards, and learning how to properly wear a kilt, especially without going to jail

    Welcome

    Welcome aboard, from Roseville, California!

And yes, a kilt is not the best jail attire, so mind yourself while wearing one!

If your family ancestrally has been in WV for quite some time, don't worry about tracing Scottish lineage... chances are it's there, somewhere.

Welcome to XMarks from a transplanted Appalachian American (by way of Florida)!
