Welsh National + Bottle Green hose?
Quick question. I've just ordered a Welsh National PV from SHO and I'm now contemplating hose combos.
I know the "official" description of the Welsh National is "sage green" although to my eye it looks a bit more "bottle green". Would bottle green hose with tartan red flashes/garters be a good combination for the Welsh National? Or... should I look for a full-featured hose in Sage?

well, sage green might match the green in the tartan, But I think I'd go for red or red and green hose.

Zardoz is right on the money, and I second his vote for red hose.
But, since you asked about gree ones, then, yes, bottle green hose will work just fine. The shades of green do not have to match perfectly, as long as the hose match each other.

I have that tartan & my bottle green hose go fine w/ it. Red or white would work too. I wear plain red flashes w/ it.

I have a "Heritage of Wales" kilt and wear Red hose, but am thinking of Green hose too.

I have worn my Wales National (St David's) with both green and red hose but I have matching flashes and so always wear them with the tartan.

It is counterintuitive I know, but it usually looks better (to my eye) to have hose which do NOT replicate one of the kilt's main colours.
Yes black, white and grey go with anything but they don't add any colour to the overall effect.
I might try a lovely blue, of an intensity/saturation which more or less is the same as the kilt. So if the red and green in the kilt are pure and strong, I would try a likewise pure and strong blue, a vivid blue. Or a lovely purple!
To illustrate, here's a (to my eye) striking use of colour, in this case contrasting tartans:
And here is yours truly, with claret hose. There's no claret in my kilt but I really like the effect:
