I just glanced at ebay. Many, many meerschaums under $100, including this Peterson:

I know Boswell's (Gallery here) creates, sells and repairs briars, and sells Meerschaum. Not sure if they make Meerschaums.

Send them an email. JM and Dan are very friendly. They know just about everyone in the industry, so may be able to point you in the right direction.
