Choosing what to wear is easy! Turn off the lights, grab a kilt, some hose, a shirt, etc. and put it on. If it looks like you put a ton of thought into it when the light comes on you're good. If it doesn't, you look like a Scotsman!

The author of said comment is endeavoring to dress a bit more like a native Scot and has actually found turning the lights off to be to his advantage when choosing clothing. That being said, he doesn't always go with what he pulls from the drawer or closet, but limits himself to two options decided by coin toss when his "ensemble" doesn't seem to work well. )

Ahh, Mr. Whidbey. You speak a wisdom that soothes the spinning mind and calms the kilted soul.

Kilt as Mid Life Crisis?
As I may have said elsewhere, my daugther's father-in-law claims my wearing the kilt is a mid-life crisis. My wife Michele laughed and said "It might be. But it's cheaper and less trouble than a little red sports car or a little redhead mistress." Wise woman.

Now there's a twist... mid-life. I believe there a number of us in that category, which is good! My wife is quietly supportive. My oldest son (14) says, "Well Dad, that's your thing!". I choose to kilt on!

no end in sight
Every time I think I'm getting close to completing my kollection, something always seems to come up. Lately that has meant upgrades: garter ties to replace flashes for example.
Not such a bad thing really but I'm glad the pace has slowed down!
