Scarborough is one of the faires I would love to hit some day. It's not in the cards for this year, though. You should come to Rendezvous! We're hosting it in Colorado this year!

Been there the last few years. It is a good faire, but bring $$ as the food is expensive.
If you are in close to period dress they will let you march with the Queens Own Highlanders brigade. I have marched several times and it is a good time.
I have set up the Clan Keith tent there a couple times during Scottish weekend, but now they want a "period" tent and all chairs and tables. I am not doing this year with that and they want every one in the clan tents to talk in fake Scottish accents.
Go have a good time. As a tourist or playtron it is fun.

Really?
You mean you don't have a period tent and furniture just sitting around in your garage waiting to be used?

Yes... I do... But then again, I'm a reenactor... so I don't count.

Kiltboy;
I am afraid that with all the stuff crammed into my garage at this point, I don't know what is all there; but I am fairly certain that there isn't a brochade tent with roe bucks embroidered on it. Not to mention that I don't have heavy wood furniture to take to make my tent "period."
You saw my tent in Dallas.

Not sure which weekend, but I am tentatively planning, depending on the whims of the calender and my ever changing work schedule, to make it up to Scarby this year.

Yup, I'll be taking the family on Celtic music weekend, May 14th.
