    You know....my box of assorted kilt hose I never wear is actually because they are too tight in the calf for me. Most of the pairs are like the WB Socks you see all over eBay and they end up being more like a midievil punishment if I wear them, so they go into the box and get dolled out from time to time to those in quick need.
    THESE hose, however, stretch nicely to fit my 18.5 inch calves without feeling like a vice. Anyway, I just ordered a couple more from JHiggins. It'll be interesting to try them out in the summer heat here in Sacramento!

    I have the same in charcoal gray and love them. They are usually found under the name "pipers hose" I think. Here I am wearing them in the heat of the Kentucky summer judging a pipe band competition.
