The Artist in question is a lady called Chris Hurst and her work has been highlighted in the forum before! here's a link to her website:

    http://www.skyravenwolf.com/index.php

Chris was informed that I wanted a terrier and fox incorparated into the sporran, I left the design entirely up to Chris and I'm glad I did because I was'nt disapointed!!

The signifigance of the canine's is that I'm a member of a working terrier club, organise show's at gamefairs, and in the past have judged working terriers in the showring at local, country and international level. The Terrier depicted on the sporran is a Border Terrier.

    All the best

That's a really pretty piece of leather.

Make sure you get a belt that complements the artistry in the sporran. Some plain ol' belt just won't cut the mustard.

Unlike those expecting a skinned dog, I thought this sporran would have been selling as branded apparel for a pub of that name.

Anyway, it's a real work of art and, unlike almost any other such item of Scottish apparel, unique. Congratulations to the owner and to the maker.

There is no way those prices can be true!!! I can get a run-of-the-mill, same-as-everyone-else sporran for more money than those one-of-a-kind, amazing-thing-of-beauty works of art?!!

Tom, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I am new on here and have not had the time to go through everything in the archives so I really appreciate the information. (I've been in the market for a sporran for a while and not found anything I really like. Until now.)
