I have noticed that whenever I wear my kilt for an evening out I get a little extra attention from the ladies. Might be the reason I have started wearing it out more often. I'm about to be married myself so never gotten to test how the effects continue into the evening. However, there's nothing wrong with a good ego boost every now and again. Plus, at a local business that bills itself on it's import beer selection and variety of scotches I have found myself on the receiving end of more than one free drink, and who's going to be upset at that concept.

That's a great outing for certain. Well played too, AKScott.
I would like to present a possible theory for why, "the ladies love the kilt". Please, lady X-Markers...don't shoot me.
I would like to postulate that the ladies are attracted to men with confidence. AND wearing a kilt takes confidence. So, the guy wearing a kilt out in public is a notably recognized as a confident guy...oh, and a kilt just looks FANTASTIC
I am in the military and do NOT wear a kilt around the office. But did get spotted last Saturday as it turns out. Come Monday (earlier this week), I was approached by one of the Staff Seargents that work for me about where I was on Saturday night (which happened to be a local kilt night outing with my wife). When I confirmed where I was, I just got a quick acknowledgement that I was seen out at the pub. Nothing else. Knowing the SSGT as I do, I took that as a quiet approval
Blessed be the kilt!!!

Yup... and why I hope that my other half will wear one more often.
This is precisely the thing that has led my wife to ask me NOT to wear a kilt when we go out. I told her she has nothing to worry about, and she knows it.
I admitted to her that I do enjoy having my ego massaged by the fairer sex.
That's unfortunate - well not that she has nothing to worry about, but that she's bothered by it. I have no problem with people checking him out, why would I? It's an ego boost for him (as it should be) and I know who he's going home with... and, well, a guy who's feeling good about himself is well... fun to be around.

Aye, and especially once he does get home with you after getting his. . .ego. . .all boosted.

I'm killed in the war or hung during peace."
