G'day all,

I'm a proud Scot living in Brisbane, Australia. I was born in Edinburgh. My father came from Nairn and my mother from Ballater in Royal Deeside. My father was in the Seaforth Highlanders and was in Ballater as part of the Queens Guard when they met. I came here via New Zealand, where I lived in Auckland for three years. I have been back home a couple of times since then. My brother lives in Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye. I get my kilt on whenever I can. Even on our hottest days it is still very comfortable. It is surprising how many Scottish or Celtic events there are down here. I love a wee dram now and then and I am a member of the Queensland Malt Whisky Society.

You just made my day!! I lived in Inverness as a teenager and went to Inverness Royal Academy. I visited there in 2001 on my way to see my brother. My dad was stationed at Fort George. Thanks for the kind welcome to you and everyone else.
