I'm going to go with good old knife pleats. Paul Henry will be making mine.

So... Am I missing something here? Or is there really a Cthulhu tartan? And, are you sure a kilt that gets made out of it wont eat your soul? If not, then I agree with Dale Seago... an 8 yard knife pleat and a feileadh mor.
Is there an ancient variation of this tartan? Or only modern? I mean... Cthulhu is pretty old, I would think some of the dye would have faded in that time.

Hi, Droid...
This thread is a follow-up thread to this one: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...yardage-64165/
So if you want some Cthulhu tartan, you can still get in on the order. Last time I checked, we were well over 100 yards! It was designed by Artificer, and a few of us thought it looked pretty wicked so we gave him a prod to actually bring it into existence from the depths of R'lyeh. (Iä! Iä! Cthulhu Fhtagn!)
Anyhoo, there is also a Cthulhu "social group" consisting of both Miskatonic U. alumni and Cthulhu cultists here: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/g...ulhu-cultists/ Feel free to join...
And here is the thread that started it all: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...-fhtagn-64014/
And it is also rumored that some of the forum's mods have connections to the Great Old Ones...

I was thinking the EXACT same thing, with enough left over for a skirt for my wife. Catholic schoolgirl style, not a full girls kilt. If I did my math right it is 4 yards for the box pleat kilt, 2 for the vest, and 2 for the skirt.

It takes only 1 yard of cloth for a bias cut waistcoat so with 3 for a skirt that should work out nicely.
That's assuming you don't make it full back with tartan all around.

Any update on a time frame for production? I'd love to get me hands on enough yardage for a belted plaid.
Is this something we'd have to do on our own? Does someone have the formula for the thread count?
