Great pictures Shawn. I had hoped to make SA this year, with Houston closing, but work took me away. Glad you had a good time.

Some fine pics Shaun. It was good seeing the three of you again.
The thing I liked about the games was the guy we saw winning the most was in the over 50 class. There was also a competitor that I doubt was even 200 lbs and he was doing fairly well. Those bigger boys just had a bit too much advantage over him though.

That would be Mike Baab. Mike played for the Cleveland Browns. Mike is also a mind-boggling athlete. He set six field records in the class at Pleasanton last year. Nobody in the world in the 50-59's comes even close, overall, though a couple of guys nip at his heels in one or two events

Do you happen to have a recent picture of Mike Baab? I'm wondering if it was him or not. I saw a fellow 2 years ago at the Salado Games that was clearly beating everyone there, and he was probably in his 50s. The dude was built like a tank.
Last year he was at the San Antonio Games but wasn't competing. I asked him if he was competing, since my wife and I love to watch him throw, and he told me he was just hosting it. I saw him again this year, but I don't think he was competing (Shaun and Tony and Steve may remember me pointing him out as he rode by on a golf cart). If there were anybody who meets your description of a world-class athlete, it would have to be him. But I did not see him competing.

I may be mistaken, but I think this is Mike Baab...

Hmm. If so, that's not who I'm thinking of.
