Welcome aboard JiminDC! Good to have a fellow kiltie in the area, and yes I know where Bowie is. How do you pronounce it?

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.

I have to say that working in Washington DC has gotten a lot more exciting since last night.I don't have anything planned, but if I did, I would be sure to leave the sgain and the dirk at home. There will be a fallen heroes memorial this week, but I won't make it. It's not far from work, but I've never taken my kilt and drum down to work for these events.

ISealark - I say Bowie "Buwie" like the knife or the singer. I've never heard it any other way.

I've always been told Bowie rhymes with goo-ey.

    Hi Dee,

I come down to your neighborhood (almost) twice a week. Our headquarters are in Tyson's Corner and I work from there on Mondays and Wednesdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from downtown DC, and Fridays from my den (my reward for the 2 1/2 hour trip to Tyson's twice a week.)

Hey JiminDC, I'm a BOO-wee man myself, but I've heard it as BOW-ee. Nice video on youtube by the way, the celtic festival was a blast, stayed the entire day.
