Thanks for all of the responses! I figured that if anyone could debunk such a statement, it'd be you guysIt felt like such an odd statement to me ("You're not gay because you're wearing a kilt, you're gay because your pleats are backwards" said the strangely OCD redneck) but once I actually took a look at my friends' kilts, it seemed to me that the direction my pleats faced was less common, so I wondered. The multiple explanations I've received (getting into a car on the right, the formal dinner butt slide, left-handed kiltmakers) have been very informative. I now have a reason instead of a shrug and a "Because." Thanks everyone!
