At first glance, yes, but if you look more carefully, he is holding a (relatively nice looking) camera, and you can see the seam in the sliding door mirror.

Also, it looks like he may have some difficulty carrying around daily necessities (like keys, cell phone, cash...)

Looks perfectly fine. Nice kilt. 5yd? 8yd? wool? we love details.

Just move the kilt round so the two vertical lines in the tartan are central and maybe a bit higher so more knee is showing.

A mirror shot always looks odd as do the off white hose and brogues Joking.

Lets have more pics in full dress please

    Chris.

Alright, alright... I guess I should really put up a better picture with everything I have. Ill be wearing it this weekend so better pics soon to come!

    chrisupyonder:

Its 8yd, wool. Ill fix the positioning, thanks for the help! The length has really been bugging me actually. It came out longer than it should have. In the pic Im actually wearing it a good couple inches above my belly button and still feel its too long, not sure what I can do though...

I suppose we are lucky in Scotland as we are never far from a kiltmaker and can go in the shop and get measured.
Some get you to kneel on the floor and measure from your belly button to the floor. Or ask for your belly button to centre of knee then automatically add 2 inches. I find both give too long a kilt. If it does not have a turned up hem (which is usual for a handmade) then it is difficult to alter. It looks like you may be able to raise it another inch which will look okay and maybe it is not as bad due to camera angle. Try a photo with your camera on a tripod or table about waist level and use the timer function.
Still a good looking kilt though.

    Chris.
