Yes the Bunratty Castle is a Medieval Banquet and show. I will be on tour with a band with about 40 people all together. I will take a lot of photos and post when I back.
Bunratty is kinda of like an outdoors museum. The castle itself is done up in a late Medieval style, but the rest of the village is a reflection of 19th century Irish life.
I'll echo what Jock said--get a pullover, and leave the sandals at home. You're going to want good socks (two pairs a day, as they will get soggy) and some damn good walking shoes.
Thanks for all this sound advice guys/gals. I will do as you suggest.

The fun part to share is the band that I will be touring with. You may recognize the name -Burning Bridget Cleary, as they will be playing some New York festivals this summer. http://www.burningbridgetcleary.com/

I am familiar with them, indeed. Have a great time!
meandering through the Burren, visiting Doolin etc can be fantastic. Then head north to Galway. My family is from there so I admit my prejudice but it is wonderful and Connemara is one of my favorite spots on earth.
Doolin rocks, best craic in Ireland. The Burren is beautiful. Galway has the prettiest girls in Ireland. Connemara has to be seen to be believed. Have fun.
