The Day
I joined X Marks last year, seeking advice from the kilted masses about tartans, sashes and the proper wearing of both. I was doing a bit of research for my upcoming wedding and the responses I received were friendly and helpful. I just wanted to share the end result with the forum.

Andrew and I got married in a small civil ceremony, for which I was ten minutes late and the most nervous I'd ever been in my life. I was putting on my sash literally just as I ran up the driveway to my brother's house, having had to borrow a kilt pin from my sister at the last minute. I'm still convinced I did something incorrect, but I can't complain about the final product.

I felt compelled to add the obligatory "cutesy" picture. Sorry for the mush factor!

Our witnesses, Kirk on the left and Mike on the right, to whom we gave flasks engraved with a simple "slàinte mhòr" and the date. Mike, I am happy to say, has plans to fill his with a single malt scotch.

My sister decorated our wedding cake, hand painting it with food color gels. I knew she had something special planned, but I was blown away when she brought the cake out.
So again, my thanks to X Marks for helping me with my big day!

Beautiful pictures! My wife loved that cake! She was a baker and commented on the work that that likely took. All the best to both of you on your life together!
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear
