Well, here are my reasons for getting one.

    1. I need one before the end of June for my bachelor party.

    2. I have another nice kilt, and will be getting a true tank for my wedding as a present from my soon-to-be wife. So I should be solid.

    3. If my doctor ok's me to compete in the games, I will need something I don't mind getting a little trashed.

    4. Jerry at SWK seemed really nice, and I would enjoy doing buisness with him!

Those are some new variables that may sway your opinions!

    Thanks guys!

    BB

Why not give it a shot? I have the same issue with height - 6'6", and after investing in some fine kilts that are 25.5" on the drop I've gone back to buying kilts in a 24" length. My reasoning is that at my height I feel better wearing my kilt a little lower - having it sit at my "jeans" waist and hit at the top of the knee seems to make me look not so "disproportionate" - so abnormally tall ;>)

I can't think of a better way to see if you might be comfortable with a shorter length than with this as an affordable test...

I will mention that when I invest in a tank I still go for the 25.5" length as these get more formal wear, but you've mentioned that you have a dressier kilt; if this is a casual option you might find that you like this drop, how it looks on you, and that wearing a kilt at the same waistline as your pants might be more comfortable when casual.

Good luck and let us know,
    Kevin
