If you do get them resoled, I'd go for the full reconditioning with AE versus letting a shoe repair place do it. I think you'll get a MUCH better value...but it means you'll be without for longer.
Coincidentally, I dropped mine off at the shoe repair place today to get the rubber added to the front of them. I have to go a whole week without them.
I agree, the full reconditioning AE does is really the way to go. Fortunately, I have two more pairs, however, they are not the Italian style of slip on that these are.
