Thumbs up My new 16oz MacEwan modern kilt!

So a few months back I decided to pull the trigger on a kilt in the 16 oz. MacEwan Modern tartan. I chose Skye Highland Outfitters. Josh was my kilt maker. He helped me with a ton of questions and was top notch to work with. His customer service and reply time was impeccable. I received my kilt a few weeks ago and due to time, lack of pictures and that I was waiting for other orders so I could do all my pictures at once, I didn't get around to show everyone my new goodies.

I got a really nice kilt. It feels durable and strong. The stitches are almost invisible. And best of all it fits it really nice. Kinda like it was made for me. oh yeah it was. If I had to be super super picky I would say the one thing that wasn't absolutely perfect is that some of the pleats are misaligned by about two threads horizontally.
    But I don't know if that's normal.
Here are a few more pictures. I hope you all love it like I do.

I REALLY like that belt! The shot from the back gives the detail that makes the belt so cool. Of course the kilt looks great--i can see what you mean about the pleat alignment, but I'm not sure that is all that bad....when you're wearing it, it'll be swishing and moving.

    Nice Kilt...

Josh does great work. All of my kilts have been well made, I would lay the kilt flat on a large surface and make sure on the 2 threads off, perhaps something was off kilter when you strapped it on.

I like that belt as well.

Looks good to me. If anyone is close enough to you to see the very slight misalignment, they won't even notice it because they are probably going for a kilt check

Spartan Tartan: thanks for the complement on the belt. It's my design. I made it for guys who don't like sporran hangers but have problems with their sporran strap sliding under their belly.

Seanachie: the part that is off a touch it the part of the pleats that are sewn. It doesn't get fixed when I lay it flat.

CMcG: if they are close enough to notice anything besides a beautiful kilt they are in danger of a blast if hot air in the face
