    That is amazing Barb. I wish that we could see a video of that pleat in motion, I'll bet it is even better than the still photos.

    When I made a USAFR kilt for our daughter, I pleated it to the gold stripe:





    Depending on which gold stripe was chosen, you could produce a flash of light blue inside the pleats, although it would be set back a bit from the edge of the reveal. And it wouldn't be terribly dramatic because there are already the wide lightish blue horizontal stripes across the back.

    I love the idea of using that flash effect with the Chthulhu tartan, that would be really splendid.

    I love this effect, having noticed it on some pipe bands and other individuals at Games. Thanks for the tips on how best to achieve it!
