OK Rabble, I am going to take the plunge and try and post some pictures of my eldest son Alistair's wedding two weeks ago. He has married a lovely happy girl from the west coast of Vancouver Island so the wedding was there. We traveled out from Ontario with a couple of his boyhood friends and two grandma's well into their '80's. We had a wonderful time which I have tried to capture in the ten photos I selected to show you. We fished for Salmon, one of which I BBQ'd for the rehearsal dinner (several BC natives said amongst the best salmon they ever ate!)and the boys really got into the surfing.
The morning of the wedding was typical west coast rain but just before the ceremony the sun broke free so the wedding was conducted on the beach.
Of interesting note is my younger son Callum is wearing the same kilt I was married in almost 30 years ago, to the day. My mother is wearing the same tartan skirt and sash she wore to that wedding as well.
The only fashion faux pas was mine. I had not noticed how my sporran had risen up on my big belly while sitting and enjoying a very nice local IPA waiting for the photographer. Oh, well I think the boys look great anyway and I am very proud of them and the rest of my family.
Enjoy, I think it would be best if you viewed as a slideshow to see the wonderful natural panorama shots the professional photographer took
