Started a work-out program at the start of the year and so far so good. I'm down 20lbs (from 235 to 215) and more importantly to me my waist pan** waist size is back down to a 34. My real goal is just to be back in a size 32, not really worried about the scale weight as long as the number in my waistband is what I want to see. Already ran headlong into the one major downside; I'm now in the last hole of the straps of my kilt and doubt I can swing the cost of replacement if I reach my goal. Ah well, maybe I can work a trade with someone going the other way on their straps ;)

I might as well chime in. 10 years ago when I retired from the Navy I was about 230 or so. I ballooned to 315 and have been between 290 and 305 for a good chunk of that... Last November I had a total knee replacement of my left knee and have been tough to stop since then. I'm at 280 (or 20 stone) right now and will drop more as time goes... for those that think knee replacement is the end of "living", check this that I did 2 days ago!

I am currently having issues with some tendonitis in my left heel and am about recovered from an MCL strain in my right knee... Slow down? Not now!!!
