It's always nice to see other's photos of the event, as well. (So feel free to add your own, those who were there!)

This fellow, named "Bob", uploaded some pics to his Picasa account last night, which I stumbled upon via the magic of Google.

    Here's a link.

Just a couple from his album.

The parade was headed up by local boy scouts.

A nice shot of the bass drummer with the John Mohr MacIntosh pipe band.

He got a really nice shot of one of our museum's board members, Al Bullman, as well. I'll have to show this one to him!

More of the clans. Again, you can see Santa Wally peeking out from behind one of the flags.

    There he is!

There are some other great photos in his album, mostly of the parade, so check them out!

    Dark Cloud Rising

Now all of the photos I've shared so far have been from the morning. To show you what things looked like this afternoon, I'll borrow from local photographer Bobby Coggins who was there documenting the whole event.

He also got some great shots from earlier in the day, but this is what it looked like around 2 in the afternoon...

And he captured this video, as well.... glad I was indoors at the museum during all of this!

As a Life Member of the Clan Wallace Society, it was my pleasure to represent Clan Wallace in the parade

I had a good time in Franklin Fri & Sat at Taste of Scotland. I met Ryan and Abigal Fri afternoon at the museum and Fri night I was called up at the ceilidh to model my recently received (2 months ago) Ryan Ross Highland Bonnet to promote sales of the raffle tickets.

During the opening ceremonies, I heard "Santa bells" approaching. It wasn't Santa, but it was 3 folks from the "Sticks in the Mudd" group arriving. Eight folks who wear straps of bells on their lower legs and jackets covered with strips of multi-colored cloth. They perform unusual routines dancing with sticks to their group music. It was the first time for me to witness the unusual and interesting group. They have FUN.

I was down in the Tartan Museum when the winds hit, it was all over when I came back up from the lower level and saw the tents and chairs were all removed. Fortunately the wind didn't hit till most of the events had concluded.

I left some of my money in the Tartan Museum gift shop.

The Mrs. and I had just left when all of this fun started happening, and I had left my camera on the kitchen counter, so there are no pictures from me.
