I like the cedar plank as well. I soak my plank in salt water though and do a dry rub. I used to mix my own, but found that the Montreal Steak Grill Mates is so close to my blend I just started using it.

I used to smoke my salmon and tuna at home back when I lived where I could catch my own. Throw in some crab cakes and a six pack and there's dinner. I figure that beer counts as a vegetable and bread.
