A pound of haggis in two minutes is impressive?
I dunno... I figure unless it was very dry, it would be considerably easier to eat a pound of haggis over a steak, and I'm sure I've eaten a pound of steak in a similar timeframe... I'm a pig tho...

My problem is that two minutes leaves no time to "savor the flavor"...

Well, he *is* 17. When I was that age, "eating" meant going to a nearby all-you-can-eat place. More than once I stopped all conversation in the dining room by carrying past a tray so heavy that if it were any bigger, would have eaten me.
Fencing, playing soccer and rugby, and training for long-distance cycling tends to make growing boys hungry.

Hence my question mark. Although in fairness, I've competed and done well in competitive eating competitions... I can see myself eating a pound of haggis in that time or less... especially because haggis when prepared properly requires less chewing than say, a steak...

We can set up a call with Guinness for Joshua, but let the wee laddie have some time to bask in the glory before setting a new record....
