This site is full of "Oh no! Not the white/cream hose!" stories.
At least a good part is due to the rental places handing out cream or white hose with the rented kilt, and we wouldn't want to look like a rental numpty would we?
(another good part is due to an irrational fear of cream hose, exacerbated by reading a gazillion "Oh No! Not the white/cream hose!" stories  )
