It sounds like you have everything very well in hand, as everyone else has said, including the shoes. They look almost exactly like a pair my dad wears while kilted, with some regularity. Make sure to get lots of pics at the wedding, too. 'round here, if there's no picture, it didn't happen!

And welcome to Xmarks from Atlanta GA, and (my second home in) Franklin, NC!

    Yes of course! Thank you.

In this opinion, the 21st century everyday wearng of kilts is extremely fashion edgy-groundbreaking and "we" are to some extent "setting the trend and makking the rules." The shoes look quite proper. After all, you are going to a fine-dress occasion, not bog-trotting, where your ghillie brogues would pull of in the muck were they not laced high.

    Thanks!

Thanks to all for your kind words and welcome. Thanks also for your help with the shoes and the rest. It helps.

I'll be posting pictures of the upcoming wedding as soon as I can. (I'd hate to wear my kilt to its first major engagement without it actually "happening")

A warm Scottish welcome from middle England. Shoes look great and will match a black sporran.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
