City of Victoria Canada Tartan
I thnk this the site that someone possibly "Freedom Kilts" had designed a tartan for the city of Victoria. I downloaded the Tartan but I am unable to find it on my computer. If any one of the rabble know who designed it and where I could get it I would be willing to share a wee drop of Gods nectar with you.

It was Steve Ashton, of Freedom Kilts. Under that name, he is our Fearless Leader i.e. that's his site-owner persona. As The Wizard of BC, he is a member in good standing of XMTS.
If you get friendly with the search feature, you can probably find it written up here; or Google it for an even better time-sink.

Here is the graphic of the Tartan.
It's official name is Victoria, City of Gardens Tartan.
It is registered as ITI 7992.
The official discription is:
I took the six colors used on the Totem Poles of the First Peoples of our Provence. I then arranged them in a broad band of Blue for the ocean that surrounds us. A broad band of Green for our forests and parks, Black lines for the roads that connect us. Intersecting Red lines for the bricks of our heritage buildings. And small Yellow and White lines as the "little spashes of color" from our City's hanging baskets.
Here I am getting ready to march in our Tartan Day Parade to show off the Tartan to the city.
The Victoria, City of Gardens Tartan was adopted by City Council as the official Tartan of the city on the 14th of January, 2010.

Kudos to you for designing a lovely tartan!
Is the City of Victoria Pipe Band still around?
It would be wonderful were they to adopt your tartan!

If you folks want a real treat in "ugly" tartans, have The Wizard show you the first "unofficial" City of Victoria tartan. Looks more like a "Victoria's Secret" tartan.

If I'm not mistaken, the City of Victoria band morphed into The Greater Victoria Police Pipe Band which has it's own tartan.
Steve's design is beautiful and on my list!!

Victoria, City of Gardens Tartan.
Thank you Steve. I think that must rank as one of the most beautiful of all tartans. You did a great job and you should be very proud.
I know that for my next kilt it will be made by you. Love it.

Steve,
Beautiful design and woven in really nice shades. This is definitely an example of a new design that can hold it's own with Wilsons' setts. Bravo Zulu!
