    Utility Sporran

Having trouble taking pictures of myself, I had an idea: dress a pillow.

This is patterned after a large travellers bag from the 18th century (I made a copy of that a few years back for living history purposes) shrunk down considerably. It still is very ample for the indended contents. I expressly DO NOT intend to use it with my tank or dress attire. It has been handy around town, though still trying to get the hang of the Conway buckles. I thought they would be one-handed but alas, have not yet learned that trick. The sporran strap utilizes a double chain link from leather shop. I'm not clear on its indended use in horse tack, but why not seek alternate uses?

Wow... that's a pretty large sporran! It would be nice to see a zoomed-out pic showing how it looks in scale to the rest of you. I do kinda like that it hides the snaps on the front of your UK.

Yeah, Conway buckles are a bit difficult for everyday opening/closing purposes. They are meant more for applications where adjustments are made rarely... like on bridles and other horse tack. But they do look good.

I really like that. It's sort of like a messenger bag.

I like it, as well. And I like that you made it. Were I you, wishing for one-hand operation, I might consider cutting the straps at the edge of the flap. Back the ends up 2 holes on the pins and attach to the face of the sporran. Run Velcro across between them, on the face and flap, and presto, one hand function.

Or not. You would need to be attentive of aligning straps upon closure.

I dig it. It looks good, looks like it was built for practicality rather than fashion(which is something I favor) and looks to be built to wear through hell on sunday(which I also like). Nice job.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.
