I know a lot of people around here roll their eyes at the mention of Brigadoon but I am a fan of classic musicals and it is an enjoyable one.

For those of us in the U.S., Brigadoon is airing this week on TMC at 8:00 p.m. cdt either Tuesday or Wednesday. I can't remember which. I haven't seen it in a while and set up the DVR. Good dancing by Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse. My wife loves it.

That's sad news. She was gorgeous when she was younger and also very talented.

She was only in the New York scenes in Brigadoon but certainly looked very classy.

She played Jane, the snooty fiance of Gene Kelly's character. I enjoy the scene where the two of them are at the restaurant and she is trying to talk to him, but he's distracted thinking about Fiona. Jane talks and talks, hardly pausing to take a breath. I wish I could lip-read to see exactly what she's saying.
I really like "Brigadoon". It's not meant to be a historical documentary; it's a show that is fun to watch. I hope to get to conduct it in community theatre in a year or three.
