    New Balmoral and Tartan Day

So last week I received my new Bob Mackie balmoral that I had ordered from Dunadd Trading Co. It arrived pretty quickly, so I didn't have much of a jones. After rereading Jock's thread on his new balmoral, I took the plunge and put it through his treatment. This is my first balmoral and I think the shape turned out all right. I decided to wait and make today my first day of wearing it. So here is what it now looks like...

Here is what I decided to wear today to celebrate Tartan Day and the fact that I'm on vacation this week.

I hope everyone is having a great Tartan Day.
    -Martin

Great bonnet! I like the look you've achieved though I am among those who would not put a pin through my tank. I like your collection behind you there beneath a blade. I think we've seen that in other posts. Good for you! Have a toast to the bonnet! To the tartan! To the great day and the culture we share.

I think you did a great job "jocking" your bonnet because the shape turned out structured but relaxed. Nice outfit too!

What color is your balmoral? It appears to be Lovat Green, yes? I am currently looking into getting a Mackie balmoral, but am stumped on the color to choose.
