    Odd question about leg shape

Hi all. It's been a long time since I was last on here. I have since been married a couple times (to the same woman) and started a new job.

    My odd question is this.

I have worn the kilt for nearly 15 years and I am the only person I seem to know that has knock knees. Generally it doesn't bother me but if a photo is taken of me from the front or behind I swear it makes me look fatter than I am and I look plainly odd.

    Anyone else have this problem?

    Cheers

No, but if you're self-conscious about it, I recommend moving back to Japan, and you'll feel right at home!

    Without pictures, we cannot judge.

I would love to go back to Japan. Although winter is awesome so far. It was a chilly 18C in Sydney today.

I hoped I hadn't needed to put pictures. haha

Now keep in mind that this is my Japanese wedding so I was making a concious effort to stand to minimise the impact of my "x"ness as my now wife calls it. Mind coming from japan everyone there seems to have a mile between their knees. That sounds dirty...

Enough stalling. Now to the pics

    compared with

The thing I should point out is I am not too happy with the cut of my tailored kilt (Red one) and am more happy with my internet ordered military one from ebay (bottom one). That seems fundamentally wrong to me. I will give one more of my black watch kilt.

excuse the socks. I didn't have hose at the time

    Thoughts?

In honesty - I don't think you have a problem. At least not one that I can discern.

    Regards

With the greatest of respect, they are the knees/legs you were issued with and you really ought to be used to them by now!

As I said in these pics I am doing my best to avoid the problem. Once I get my Australian pics it can be seen worse. It isn't going to stop me from wearing kilts but I notice on my brother the line of the kilt follows his legs a little better and doesn't "billow" out so much.

Haha Jock that is very true. That might become one of my "once a wise man said..." phrases.

I would like to get some more pictures of my Christie tartan kilt up so you can judge the cut. It isn't the most flattering. It could be the colour though.

I dont see anything bad... I think you might be overly conscienceless of the issue. Looks fine to me. I say dont worry about it.

I honestly do not see anything awkward about your knees. They look "normal", and as Jock said....they're your knees. Not much you can really do about them (not that you ought to anyway).

As for the kilts. I think they look fine. I'm not seeing what you describe. Could you post a picture of your brother to highlight what you are referring to? From the pictures, they both have the same basic shape....from what I can tell.
