The Glengarry style looks too much like a military garrison cap to suit me:

I always, through many years in two different service branches, hated those and thought they looked ridiculous.

The balmoral is at least somewhat reminiscent of the "original" Highland bonnet, which is why I recommended it.

But -- please yourself and show your heritage in a way that YOU prefer!

Brandon: Welcome to XMTS from the mountains of northern New Mexico!

How 'bout a "MacDonald of Clanranald" shirt from the Scottish Tartans Museum? For details see ...

Click on the picture to enlarge it. Good luck on whatever you decide.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Some people don't care for them, but a tartan tie would probably be OK with your trousered clothing, in addition to or in lieu of the Balmoral w/ clan badge.

Welcome cousin. Any highland games will provide vendors with lots of ideas....even door knockers of the clan crest...wall plaques of the clan crest, throws and blankets in the clan tartan...ad infinitum

I believe Clan Donald sells some goodies too. Check their website
