Similar thing:
My sister has an 8yr old black and white Papillion. My father has lately taken to saying that she would make a lovely kilt accessory, when the day comes. His view on it is that it would be very unique. My mother has lately taken to calling my father "morbid".

If you ask me, the choice of pet as a kilt accessory should reflect the fact that as kilt wearers we are choosing that which is non sequitur.
As such, I can't think of a better pet/kilt accessory than.... a capybara.

Perfect, if you ask me.

Personally, I think that the most appropriate pet to accessorize a kilt would be a Peeking-Knees.
Some may say the glass is half full,
Some may say it's half empty...
But a Scot will forever say,
"Ar' ye gang tae swally tha'?"
