Just a precision: Greek for wing is «pteros», without a O at the beginning.

My avatar is of a Scottish Ninja from -
http://www.scottishninjas.com/
I don't remember how I stumbled across this whilst web-surfing, but it seemed most appropo for the cultural mix in our household - we've hosted 7 Japanese exchange students over the years (with another one arriving in 12 days), plus my son is studying and becoming quite expert in Japanese. Then there's me fully embracing the Scottish culture, kilts & all, and - voila - Scottish Ninja!
Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!

Hi,
Mine is my tartan, Tara Ancient.

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice but in practice there is.

Mine is me. It is cropped from a larger pic of my family at one of those Olde Tymie Photo places in Mackinac City, MI. I've been thinking about changing it to something more "kilty" but haven't found anything that I liked yet.

I can't decide. First (briefly) a Pheonix (a personal symbol- of Christian death and resurrection), then a Jim Clark (Scot 63 and 65 F1 Champ) Lotus 33, and, now, a Covenanter flag (for my heritage). Soon, may change again.
Question-> HOW do you find images so small?
most of the avatars I try are too big! I change them because I am not quite fond of any of the images yet.

My avatar is a picture of me Da. Though I use it as tribute to him because he was one hell of a brave and decent man, if I'm to be completely honest, he was one buck-stud handsome guy - and a heck of a lot easier on the peepers than my crusty mug.
Thank you,
Scott Gilmoe

Macwage, try www.atavarity.com!
Scott, that explains it. I always got the image of a young buck when reading/replying to your messages, even though I had seen your real picture. Your Da was a tough looking gent, think Jimmy Dean, at least in that pic.
