It is possible that a metal badge weighing almost 4 oz. will be too heavy for the pocket of a jacket.
What you see in the picture is an embroidered patch. Perhaps one of our X Marks Clan Crest Embroidered Patches would be better for this type of application.

    Perhaps so...

Well, this was really the first I'd ever noticed it done and thought it was kind of neat. As mentioned, I don't wear the type of headgear one would place this one, so I'm trying to decide what to do with it. I also don't wear a kilt pin often, if ever really.

I don't think Gordon has any issue doing another run of Xmarks tartan, but all previous runs were in wool. He was talking about Polyviscose here.

This is one new X-Marker that would be happy to have a wool run of tartan.

Bradley,I know that you are a "flat cap"chap, but have you tried wearing a balmoral Scottish style? There is a subtle differance between wearing a berret and a balmoral.I think you were in the forces?I can usually spot a military man by the way they wear their balmoral,er,well, um,dare I say it,yes I will, incorrectly!

The balmoral has the badge further round on the left side of the head,in front of the ear but not as far forward as to be over the eye so about the temple region. The top of the bonnet is FIRST pulled foreward, firmly and then pulled firmly to the right and down. You end up with a slightly bigger overhang at the front( over your right eye) than with the berret.Looking from the back of the balmoral The cloth will be seen to have a distinct "pull to the front" look.

Try it!To my eyes there is nothing so stylish as a properly worn balmoral with or without the kilt.It will solve your cap badge problem too!

Picking up on Jock Scot's thoughts, glengarryhats.com has a lot of color choices. Perhaps a simple, classy all-black balmoral would be the right fit to show off that new badge.

    Cheers

Hmmm. That's an idea I can work with. Thanks Jamie & Jock.

Now if someone could just tell me how to measure properly for a hat. Everytime I order one without trying it on I get the size wrong.

Here is the update on the ordering as of 1330 local, today the 24th.

84 people have ordered a total of 110 badges.

1 person has cancelled his order.

Everyone has been invoiced. I just finished sending out the invoices for the orders for the last couple of days. This means that if you have not heard from me, something went wrong, and I need you to contact me ASAP.

    There are 11 outstanding invoices.

Steve 53, please call me. There is a problem.

    Good morning,

I have really good news this morning. Scott at Gaelic Themes sent me an e-mail and said that they would be casting our badges next week.
