The Importance of knowing the Rules of Kilted Fashion

I read the thread of the do's and donts of kilt wearing. It was fun, and I'm sure when the time comes that I'll probably be a little "less than authentic" in my attire, however, I hope that I don't end up as a new post in that thread.

LOL, Welcome to Xmarks btw. I think if you have read through the Do's and Don'ts then I think you are going to be way ahead of the curve. Panache and I have pictures in the Do's and Don'ts thread we put there ourselves committing a Don't. It was one of our first times in a kilt, and we both learned and grown a lot since those old days. Everyone has to start somewhere, but like I said, if you've read that thread then you should be good.

Gentlemen, this is, in my opinion, a good thread/topic. I think many agree. So with that in mind, can we please steer this back on track?

Perhaps I am wrong Rex,I hope not, but I think that some of this thread has been a clearing of the air and like most families perhaps it needs to happen every now and then, for the greater good. For my part, I have said my piece and maybe I have made a few think and that is precisely what I intended. Nevertheless on the "rules,convention front" the conversations have been courteous and civil as they should be. From my point of view, no harm has been done and none has been intended by anyone throughout.
