I added a bottle of Old Pulteney 12 to my collection. I like it a lot. This is one I'll need to keep on hand. It is, at this time, my favorite scotch. I also have a Bowmore 12 year on the shelf.

Most of my bourbon is held in a separate cupboard----did not wish the up and coming american whiskies spoiling for a fight with any of the good old boys.

P.s. John, I think you would like the a'bunadh, it is only lightly peated for a highland/speyside, and is sherry casked for a finish.
Nice to see a bottle of Iowa's own Templeton Rye in the cupboard -- Iowans literaly facebook TR sightings at various places. I still a wee bit left in my bottle from 2005.

Hey Cousin, I live just over the ridge from you. How about an invite for a fellow clansman?

Re: What's in your collection?
Well, I've been told that its not the size of your collection that counts but rather how much it is enjoyed. In my case, I have just two bottles of whisky (only Scotch is whisky -- got a bunch of other whiskeys though).
Glenlivet 12
Lismore
(I know I'm not supposed to, but I actually prefer the Lismore!!!)

Re: What's in your collection?
Excellent point! I have a decent sized collection, from which I take very wee drams from different bottles on any given night, however, for a good daily dram, I absolutely love tamdhu 10, which is a $20 single malt (same price range as Lismore) and teachers, which is about as cheap as you can get for a blend, but unbelievable value for money.
I enjoy having variety, but if you find several bottles that you love, that's wonderful! Enjoy whichever drink suits you best, in whatever way you prefer (as long as you're responsible) - it's yours and yours to enjoy.
