Thanks Alan for the update. I have been thinking of him all day here in San Diego. When our small group got together a few years ago in Palm Springs his charm and wit helped make our gathering so much more fun and our jousts on this forum have always been fun. I can only hope for the best for he and his family.

God help me - all I can think about when someone asks him to sqeeze their finger is that that person passes gas when he does squeeze....would probably cure him or cause the tube to dislodge from laughing....

Another note from the F-H.C.A.G... apparently when the nurse removed one of the various tubes that are still in him today (they're coming out, one by one) he tried to talk to her, meaning the F-H.C.A.G. All these kinds of signs are *extremely* positive. He's responsive and wants to communicate. *EXCELLENT*

Alan many thanks for keeping us updated on Jamie's progress. Please if you get the chance do let Star know that friends from all around the globe are praying for Jamie's speedy recovery. Hopefully she in turn can pass on all of our best wishes.
