For those who are looking forward to the transition of the Outlander series from book to TV series, here is a video clip from CBS This Morning, talking with the author Diana Gabaldon and the two lead actors. The first part of the clip is an advertisement, and the interview follows.

I watched the first episode online and rather enjoyed it. It looked authentic enough but takes a little while to get to the part were she travels through the stones. That said, there was alot of back material to cover and I thought they did a great job of doing it. I was surprised to see how far they did get into the book in just the first episode. It looks like it will translate well into a great story. Looking forward to the cultural explosion this may bring about. If it does as well as Game of Thrones, and it looks like it may, I'll be happy.

I know they did an early showing in the US...I don't think it is available yet in Canada. Glad to know that someone saw it and has a favorable report -- I am really looking forward to it.

It says that you can watch the first episode on the Starz website for free, I haven't tried it myself yet.

Time travel stories, despite their allure and obvious entertainment value, do not work on this writer; they fundamentally violate the Law of conservation of matter and energy.
The specific molecules and atoms which constitute the lady time traveler in the 20th century would have been in different places and in different substances in the 18th.
Passing back into the past...per physics, her constituents would have dis-integrated, in the truest sense of the word.

It is fiction. Sometimes it is necessary to suspend reality.
