Yesterday for my Kilted Friday, I wore my Sanderson Kingussie in Scottish Wild Cat tartan. Sorry, no pic. A contractor asked if I was Scottish or Irish. I replied, yes. He shared his family Scottish ancestry with me.
Anyone else kilted up for their Friday?

NFT London
Went to the National Film Theatre on the South Bank in London with my husband and a friend. Wore my old lightweight tartan kilt - very comfy when seated in the theatre. Walked across the River Thames on the northern of the two Golden Jubilee Bridges to see London all lit up and then met our friend for a coffee before the film. As London is such a wonderful cosmopolitan city, wearing a kilt hardly rates as unusual but did get some positive comments.
Don't know if I jinxed the theatre but two-thirds through the film the power failed in the projection room and the show had to be abandoned. Have just heard that there will be re-run next Saturday lunchtime so will find out what happens at the end of the story. Ho hum. Will have to get kilted again!
It was good to see London filled with people enjoying themselves again after the tragic incident on Wednesday at the Houses of Parliament. #LondonPride

Kilted Friday
Since I rarely have direct patient contact in my current position I am able to don a kilt most days of the week. So "kilted Friday" is actually just another Friday. When I don't wear a kilt to work, people want to know why....its usually because I have a squash match after work.
Anyway, for this Friday I wore a 6 yd mid-weight wool kilt and a nice cashmere sweater over a shirt and tie.

Well... both I guess. These are a set of Hardies from the mid 1950s. I suppose that is historic That said, they are not really correct for the 1790s and early 1800s. The drone shape is a bit off and the worst part is that the mounts are made of catalin (an early plastic stuff). Most people would not know different, but eventually I would love to get a set of reproduction 18th century pipes.

Kilted friday
Thanks for the shout out Terry.
Today, my wife & I accompanied my daughter to the campus of the University of Maine, Farmington. Where she participated in the Maine National Geographic Geography Bee. She didn't win, but she did make her parents/community/school very proud. This is a picture of my daughter & I before the competition began.
