Yes, we need not fall into the realm of Big Brother (1984), or THX-1138...all bad things...

Oh, but we have my friend, we have. And we are so deeply rooted into it we may not recover. If you doubt me just read what they did to us with the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. If you fall into their 'doublespeak' you become their slave and stand without any Constitutional protections or rights. Watch how our 'courts' just throw some folks in jail without proving that they've committed any crime. Call me paranoid and then read what they have done and you'll change your tune real fast.

As a little "Post script" here I'd like to tell you all as friends with a lot in common to tell your local theater managers to get and show a new movie that's making the rounds in America called "AMERICA: FROM FREEDOM TO FACISM", it will probably hit the theaters this summer anyway but it explains a lot about what's been happening to America these last few years and it's so accurate that the government doesn't want you to see it. Nuff said...

That's got to be the best definition of a gentleman/woman I've ever heard. Got to look out for that film. The things I hear of from you mob! Love it...
It's an excellent movie, and as many times as I've seen it, I can't help but watch it anytime that it is on. It really demonstrates how much things have evolved. It also makes me think about the 5 year old boy that lives next to us. His mother is a stay at home mom, and has a 1 year old boy to take care of as well. The 5 year old always addresses me by my sir name. We all went for a walk together a few days ago around the neighborhood. I use a cane with my right hand. He grabbed my left hand and said he would help me so I could walk easier.
Both parents have no problem with me wearing a kilt and being around their children. If my wife and I are going to be at Wal-Mart the next day at the same time as he and his mom, he asks what color kilt I will be wearing so that he can recognize us - almost as if all the men at Wal-Mart are going to be wearing kilts.
I think he will retain the values that his parents are teaching him. I see an inner strength in this young man where he would not be easily swayed by peer pressure. Perhaps a return to common courtesy and good manners will be brought about by the children that are now very young.

A PC world
My father may not have been the best teacher in the world, but, he did teach me to be a gentleman. To hold a door open for a lady, to vacate a seat for the elderly, To say please and thank you and to address my elders properly. One story come to mind, when we were eating dinner one night, one of my younger brothers came to the table shirtless. Well, this started the lecture about the military code of conduct.Hats come off when you enter a building and correct dinner attire. To this day, I wear a shirt at the dinner table and still complain about kids wearing their hats in restaurants even with parents at the table. Its tough being a boomer (53) but that's my cross to bear. I just hope that my boys learned to treat others with respect. Not just women, but everyone. Ind the end we are all God's children and we should respect others similarities and differences.
End of Soapbox Oratory.

Well, like I say, hats aren't really an issue anymore. I just wish that a bowler or fedora could be worn without getting weird looks. People don't care about their appearance anymore. Casual work environments and all that. Dress respectably!
