Well, in that case you'll need a grove of weirwood trees.
Sorry, I'll stop with the Ice and Fire references.
Hope all goes well, and good luck.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

A good friend of our family made the best wedding cakes. He would always talk with the bride and groom and find out what their likes and hobbies were and somewhere behind the cake where the guests couldn't see he'd hide something for each of them to symbolize this. At our wedding it was a leprichan with a pot of gold and a cowboy in a buckboard hidden for my wife and I.

*Sigh*...I try so hard to restrain my geekier urgings, and then something like Ice and Fire gets mentioned and there I go.
Anywho.
I'd recommend incorporating something of the both of you in each ceremony. Let it be something unique that shows what you or he is bringing to the marriage. And definitely be yourselves. I was in a friend's wedding earlier this year; they got married outside, under a grove of palms, right on the water. Groomsmen (and groom) were in cowboy hats and boots, and the whole wedding party got in a couple of pickups and drove to the reception. Redneck? Yes, a little. But it fit the couple. It was simple and it was beautiful.

lol. A fusion would definitely be cool and we will play with ideas...I have a feeling that he will just tell me to do whatever I want though for the one here in the States with my family. He's pretty good about sharing culture and not being too overbearing with just one which is really important to me.
I shouldnt even be talking about any of this yet! I dont even have a ring on my finger you all are bad. Getting me dreaming. I'm probably jinxing all of this.
Fusion can work well, I am Catholic and my wife is Protestant, we had Mass at 7 am and service at her church at noon for our wedding. She is Chinese and I am Irish. We had Chinese food and live Irish traditional music at the reception. And just for good measure we had Jewish friends pray a traditional prayer and add Jewish food before we ate.

Oh handfastings are lovely. My wedding will have to be pretty secular considering my religious wedding will be held elsewhere but I wouldnt mind drawing inspiration from other traditions Especially since it's basically a blank canvas for me to decorate!....
oh...and the groom...shoot, I have to include him in planning dont I?... jk
Oo, that's a lot of poop. Camels are easily irritated by weddings...or, anything.
