Yuletide toast at Lougheed House
I volunteer at the historic mansion Lougheed House in Calgary. Last evening they asked Scottish Santa Bill (Liam) to propose the toast at their gala opening of their Christmas exhibits and festivities. My toast was:
Wishing ye a Blythe Yuletide
A guid Hogmanay
And lang may yur lum reek.

Here is a photo of the event.... although my attempt to attach it to my original post seems to have failed.

Continued frustration posting photos. They show up fine in the preview but not once posted!

Happy kilted Friday! We are having unusually warm temperatures here in Southern California, so I did a very casual look for today. I decided to do some antique shopping around late morning/midday. I also decided to brave Target on the way home. Surprising, it wasn't too crowded this afternoon (apparently most people did their shopping last night).
I wore a teal polo shirt with my Sport Kilt in Campbell tartan. I wore a brown kilt belt with silver toned buckle. I wore brown fisherman's sandals and no socks. I didn't wear a sporran, as the Sport Kilt has pockets. Very casual look, but it was quite pleasant walking around in summer-like temperatures.

And I'm back for another Kilted Friday. This Friday evening, I joined a few members of my choir for a caroling gig at a historical Victorian era house here in Long Beach, the Bembridge House. I wore my Wallace Sport Kilt with a white Oxford shirt, red tie, black V-neck sweater, and my red Lewis House of Cheviot hose with black garters, and my black loafers. I wore a camel-hair knee-length overcoat, in case it got cool as we sang outside. We had a great time singing traditional Christmas carols and sipping mulled wine.
Not a great view of the kilt, but a nice view of my jacket and hose & garters, as well as the inside of the home (we were able to join the final tour of the evening):

Did not manage kilted Fri as was travelling; but did don the Elkommando on Thu in Los Cabos. Many smiles and compliments - and so very comfortable while walking about in that weather

Casually attired this kilted Friday. I just reached in and grabbed whatever, no thought to "outfit" at all. Y'know what? That actually works!
