Life is so good.

Yeah, they might not drink green beer, but as long as they're wearing those green wigs and Mardi Gras beads, we still have a problem.

There is no 'I' in 'we'.
If it ain't your bag, you're free to pass. It matters not to me one way or another.

Sorry, when I said "we" I meant as in "the wig-wearer and I". Should've cleared that up earlier.

It's not a conundrum to me!
It's not a conundrum to me if I am kilted on Monday the 17th or not, because I always am. The problem for me is if I can find time to go out to an appropriate venue for a wee dram.
If I am able to get out, I think I will wear a kilt with no green in it however

I still think I'll get a leine and brat along with some crude leather sandals and a crook stick for next year on the seventeenth...
So I can choose not to wear them.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I'm surprised at how lucky most of you guys are by being able to wear your kilts to work. It's a definite no go where I work. On Monday, the 17th I'll be wearing my business suit, as always. But, I do get to choose my stinking tie. THAT will be a clan tartan one for sure.

This begs the question: Do I wear my kilt on St. Patrick's day? Will people think I am an idiot?
When I wouldn't answer a group of twenty-somethings "question", one of the guys yelled "He's no real Irishman!". I thought, "What an idiot." So, by wearing the kilt on an IRISH holiday, am I only adding to the prevailing ignorance surrounding the kilt, and thus furthering my own hypocrisy?
I would truly like to know your thoughts on this. I know there are modern Irish tartans, but I think that is an inadequate answer. Why do pipe and drum bands in the United States march and play (whilst kilted) in St. Patrick's Day parades?
Fire away, boys.
Ooh, you've just given me the perfect reason to make McGurk wear his kilt, after all, he has got a kilt in Heritage of Ireland. Kilts have existed everywhere at some point, or some version of 'skirt' (for want of a better word). Wrapping yourself in fabric came before trousers, wherever the modern 'kilt' originated.

Then why not wear a liene? It came before the kilt and it's definitely Irish.
