That's pretty much how it is here, too, Nathan. Off-the-peg is by far the most common option for day-to-day clothing in my corner of California. Tailors exist here, certainly, but they are SO EXPENSIVE for made-to-measure suits and other garments. Bespoke suits (like Nathan mentioned, at the base model) will easily run way up beyond the means of most men. Highland outfitters are virtually nonexistent here.
Luckily for me, all of the women in my family are decent seamstresses in their spare time. Mum and my aunts (and both of my late grandmothers were) are all talented quilters, too.

Interestingly, Sir Sean appears to be wearing the Kinloch Anderson coatee like in the brochure. Just like in the 1930s, KA's coatee still has the three buttons in a straight line parallel to the opening, whereas most every other PC has the three buttons in a 45 degree angle a la Regulation Doublet.
Interesting...

I think a modicum of self-moderation here...
I personally think I'd look a complete prat in a jabot and lace cuffs, however Mr Newsome looks exceedingly dapper in his outfit and carries it off very well.

They do offer them, as KiltFitz stated. You have to call, or e-mail them for availability. The bar and buckle brogues they offer are Thistle brand.

Edited to change the quote (for better understanding of who I was talking about).

That's the nuts and bolts of it. Wouldn't it be lovely but... I have to be realistic.
