That looks like a great time!

We have some wild temperature swings here in Nevada. This morning when we left our house to go to the park for the balloons it was 48f with the high today being 95f ugh I'm so ready for fall/winter to get here.

I bought it off eBay but for the life of me have no idea what it's name is... I think I just searched for 'black brown sporran' or something just as vague The tartan is a Restricted one from Locharron, but don't know the name

In my USA Kilt casual Caledonia tartan. In the office at o'dark thirty for an early get away to spend the weekend with my Dad.

Enjoyed the balloon pics @Richrail. Reminded me of my time years ago in western New Jersey where I chased them on a bicycle with others to assist securing them when they landed.

    Kilted to Kick Cancer

Is anyone else being Kilted to Kick Cancer for the month of September. September is prostate cancer awareness month. I have been kilted all month even at work. As I stated in a previous post I had prostatectomy surgery on August 15. This makes me 31 days and counting cancer free. I have worn 5.11 TDK at work and tartan kilts on the weekend. At my church this Sunday morning we are hosting 6 high school county football teams for breakfast (Approximately 300 players plus coaches). We decorated the gym last night and I wore my USA Kilt USMC tartan kilt. Had several ask why the kilt. Explained it was Kilted to Kick Cancer month. Had a couple say I looked sharp. So it's not to late guys get out there and get "Kilted to Kick Cancer".

Just returned from a most enjoyable (kilted) week in Edinburgh. Here I am in Princes Street gardens, with Edinburgh Castle in the background. The weather was better than this for most of the week!

TGIKF! It's been a tough week on the day job putting in extra hours due to a number of special projects happening. It feels though today, I'm sliding in to home base.

Kilted today in my USA Kilts XMTS tartan casual. Let's see what adventures I encounter. If you're kilted for this Friday give this post an AYE!

I was ready to go last night but was so sleep-deprived this morning that I just plain didn't feel like expending the effort to look decent and rather than wear the kilt sloppily at work, I just went with jeans and a polo. Thankfully, now that I'm no longer at a client site but back at the home office where no one ever speaks to me, I don't need to worry about looking shabby. But I still don't like looking shabby in a kilt. :P

As long as it is worn the correct way round and at approximately the correct height, I doubt you can look shabby in a kilt. There are as many ways of accessorising it as there are with jeans and at its most casual it is just a jeans alternative. Just don't team it with a suit or or similar length jacket or too jazzy top. Just my opinion.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Although for me Kilted Friday is no big deal as I wear one every day, today I was out in an Isle of Skye PV. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing hard and it was raining. I discovered that one had to be careful with umbrella placement as holding it in front to face the wind and fend off the rain created an updraft! I guess the wind being forced down and bouncing off the pavement (side walk), not a scenario I had encountered before. For obvious reason there is no picture.

This is me back inside after drying off. It is still throwing it down but the sun has long gone.

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
