Big_Paul, if he sees that he'll never come out! Although, I would say that while that sword looks too large for the guy holding it, it might be just the size for MacMullen!

Bill is a neat guy. I have standing orders to let him know if (when) I get to Caithness. We will have tea and some good crack he says. :-)
He scared me last night,,I had forgotten he is the Highland Councilor for West Wick. He was wanting to know if I wanted him to pass it along to the UK press.....that might be a bit of over kill!! :-| I could just see it ending up on the Council Agenda,,,become an International Incident!!

I'm ready!
Disclaimer: Only kidding. Of course, I would never advocate threatening or doing anyone bodily harm over such an issue.
I did, however, sign the petition. Signature #210.

The principal has a fight on his hand!
He will eventually have to deal with this issue. Kilts are just another piece of clothing. He will have to acknowledge the true rights of every person to wear a proper piece of clothing.
It is far more respectable to wear a kilt than many other items that are thought of as acceptable in this day and age.
This will be a groundbreaker for this school, and district. We need to stay supportive and positive!
#249 on the Petition!

Make me #253!
A MacKay (neighbors to the Gunns) has forgotten the ancient rivalries and signed his name to that petition.

This may sound a little cynical to some of you, but there are some things that deserve cynicism. Public Education is one of them. The mission of "public education" is no longer actual education but indoctrination. This first became seriously noticable in the early 60's about the same time that Rachel Carson's claptrap found academic approval.
The last three or four generations of "teachers" are themselves the output of schools of indoctrination, hence they are not in a position to know which way is up, much less make rational judgments about matters that may be new to them.
Obviously there are exceptions, but they are rare and do not tend to advance in the school system, or even remain in it, because they are swimming upstream.
The school official in the OP is an ignorant pompous ***, and would fit right in at any schoolboard meeting.

Signed!
I've not been able to keep up lately with holidays and houseguests so if this is redundant I appologize.
I was VERY pleased to note while reading comments in the petition that the young man and his family are aware of the efforts being made on his behalf by people from around the world. Kilt On!!

Rachel Carson, the author of "Silent Spring", claptrap and the origin of indoctrination: pardon my cynicism, but history has proved her right. Who have you been listening to?
